108 degrees, yeah it’s a DRY heat, but 108 makes you want to never leave the casino. I saw a road crew out laying pavement, and I thought wow, I can’t even tolerate 5 minutes in this and here they are doing it for hours. Water, water, water and more water. That was my mantra. I usually like to Vegas alone. I know I’m weird but then again, I can play bingo non-stop without someone getting “bored” and wanting to do something else.
Yeah Palace Station makes the bingo parlors in Denver look downright sad. And for the most part bingo places are pretty run down in Denver. I don’t think that will ever change due to the fact that profits go to the non-profit running the bingo and I don’t imagine the bingo parlor itself is making bank at all. Nothing wrong at all about that and I love the fact that I’m contributing money to a worthy cause. I would love it if the casinos in Blackhawk/Central City would do bingo though.
I played about 5 sessions this time in Vegas, only in town for 2 solid days. Yes even I do get bored of playing bingo ALL day. I hit $250 on the final bingo at a regular session! Then I hit another $350 at the slots (this never happens), my trip was paid for 100%. I almost always win something at bingo, but not much on the slots. I stayed at Park MGM this time as I had comps through mlife and non smoking is a game changer when you have asthma. It cost $132 total with the resort fees and taxes for 3 nights. I did eat at Mon Ami Gabi for breakfast and a few other cool places, food was about $100. Total non gambling expense for the trip including the 3 day pass on the bus $320. It’s these kinds of trips that lure me back to do it again, you almost think, wow I could quit my job and do this for money. Yeah right. It’s fun to dream.
