I saw an advertisement for Longmont Bingo Alley come across my Facebook feed and it caught my interest! Having just been to Vegas for yet another “Power Bingo” event at the Gold Coast, the words “Power Bingo” caught my eyes. I thought it was going to be an add for another event in Vegas where they can get away with giving out $500,000 over 2 days. Here in Denver and the surrounding areas, once the pot hits a certain number, $15,000 in Colorado, it “must go” and has to be given away before it hits that number.
The add mentioned that there would be $30,000 in prizes for the event and I thought wait a minute!! How are they getting around the $15,000 rule? Here’s how. First, It truly is only 1 must go game that is being given away. That one happens at the end of a very long day. The fun starts at 10:00AM and the must go happens at 7:15PM. There are 4 sessions, including the must go at the end of the day. Each of the 4 sessions is giving away $4,000 per session. OK, that’s $16,000, so they only need to have a must go of $14,000 to hit the $30,000 mark.
I really have to give it to them, this is great marketing. They are charging $25, just for entry and they will provide some food but no bingo cards, those cost extra. No doubt, each person will spend much more to try and out bingo card the next person for a more favorable shot at winning.
So I have added Longmont Bingo Alley into my rotation. I may have to visit, but it a bit of a jaunt for me. Please leave a comment here if you have any good/bad reviews for them or if you have been to one of these events.
